Sixteen years ago, Mando Books, Inc. opened in Cortland, New York, with one goal in mind: to provide a less expensive, more friendly textbook alternative to the campus store. We've worked hard to make that goal a reality, and we've made a lot of friends along the way.

Mando Books will save you money on your textbooks. We guarantee the lowest prices in New York, and have stood by that promise since we opened our doors in 1995.

What makes us different is that we've walked in your shoes. Not so many years ago, when we were in school, we looked at the existing options for textbooks and we thought we could do better. Mando Books lowered prices, began buying books back every day, and created the prepack system, which allows students to hang out and listen to music while our staff retrieves your personal stack of books.

In 2002 we opened a store in Binghamton to service a whole new community.  Servicing Binghamton University and Broome Community College successfully, Mando Books has made a name for itself in Binghamton as a community business, supporting both local and university organizations and events.  We continue to provide a high level of service and value to our customers, and look forward to providing course materials to Binghamton and BCC students for a long time to come.

Now, we've expanded again.  We opened our New Paltz store in 2010, servicing SUNY New Paltz and buying books from all the surrounding colleges and universities.  We feel that we have filled a niche in this area, and we look forward to becoming involved with the New Paltz community.
